This year we are continuing our raffle of top artists art work. Florine Duffield is a member of both clubs. You might have seen some of her art on display at the Fairview center. She has donated her oil painting entitled “View Point Lake, Sun City, AZ”. You might recognize this 30 X 24 Original Oil Painting on Canvas, framed (Frame 2.5”).You might have taken a walk near the waterfall at Lakeview Lake.
The lake and surrounding area were planned, developed and landscaped by Del E. Webb Development Company in preparation for the first model homes north of Grand Avenue, 1968 – 1969 and was part of Lakeview Recreation Center Complex. The idea of the lake came from using a Japanese Landscaping theme. Size 3.5 Acres. Children enjoy the picnic area and the ducks. The area is good for bird watching and making photos.
Ms. Duffield’s father, Francis Duffield, moved to Sun City during the 1970s. Ms. Duffield stated, “This is my favorite area of Sun City, lovely and peaceful. I am a professional photographer and painter. I have made many portraits in the gorgeous area. The waterfall makes for a spectacular background. It is a great escape from the big city around us.” Come visit the art show to meet the artist and view the artwork of the many talented artists of Sun City.
